Are you looking for a long term relationship with a financial planner or team of people, who can collaborate with you and be a sounding board in the years ahead?
Then we might be a good fit for you. We have ongoing, comprehensive relationships with many clients, seeing them through many of life’s transitions (financial and otherwise).
We start by triaging the parts of your financial life that need to be addressed immediately, and then over time work on other planning areas – like college, retirement, investments, taxes, insurance, and estate planning – as needed.
This type of relationship can be particularly suitable for people in the second half of life, when many transitions take place:
- From paychecks, to pensions and Social Security;
- From health insurance and health savings accounts, to Medicare;
- From accumulation and savings strategies, to drawing on investments; and
- From launching children, to putting your own affairs in order.
People often find that their 50s and 60s arrive with particular amounts of complexity – fortunately, we specialize in managing these stages of life. In particular we often address questions around:
- Account consolidation
- Roth conversions
- Required annual distributions (RMDs)
- Taxation of account withdrawals
- Philanthropy or family gifting
- Inter-generational wealth-transfer strategies
- Longevity and care needs
The cost for ongoing relationships vary, depending on if we manage a family’s investment accounts or not. For clients for whom investment management is suitable, desired, or beneficial, our ongoing advisory fees are debited directly from investment accounts. For clients who continue to manage their own investments, our ongoing advisory fee is billed to you directly.
